RFA skates past Solvay

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The RFA Black Knights took care of business in the Division I quarterfinals with a 5-2 win over Solvay on Friday. The will face C-NS in the semifinals on February 22nd at 7pm at Kennedy Arena.

Max Bartell had a hat trick in the win. The Black Knights score the first two goals in the first five minutes of the game. Bartell scored on an assist from Nick Bonanza. Two minutes later, Nick Tardugno tallied to make it 2-0. TJ Reilley scored in the third period on a breakaway to give RFA a 3-0 lead after two periods.

Bartell added two more in the third before Solvay even got on the board. Anthony Durso had 11 saves for the Black Knights who improve to 17-2-2. They have now gone 19 straight games without a loss.
