ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - RFA opened up the 2010 season with a big win at RFA Stadium, 26-9 over Liverpool in Class AA action Friday night. The Black Knights, who trailed 9-0 in the second quarter, scored 26 straight points for the win.
Rick Stapleton scored the first of RFA's four TDs, on a two yard run in the second. Then Jordan Henry's eight yarder put the Black Knights on top to stay. RFA led 14-9 at halftime.
Kyle Hash then threw a pair of 30-yard second half TD passes, to Zach Barrigar and Josh Royce.
The Black Knights (1-0) will now face off with rival Proctor next week, with both teams having won big in their opening games, after the Raiders beat Auburn 54-26.
