Herkimer Clinches At Least A Tie For Class C East Title

HERKIMER, NY (WKTV) - The Herkimer Magicians have clinched at least a tie for the Class C East league title with a 21-7 win over Sauquoit. No matter what happens on Saturday, The Magicians have clinched the top seed in the East.

Herkimer got the scoring started in the second quarter. After Sauquoit fumbled a Herkimer punt, the Magicians took the lead on a John Bellinger one yard touchdown. Brett Rounsville ran for a one yard score to tie things up late in the half.

Bellinger scored twice in the second half to seal the deal for the Magicians, who improved to 5-2 overall. Sauquoit finished the regular season 7-0.
