West Canada tops Poland


NEWPORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - After a sluggish second quarter, the West Canada Valley boys turned it up a notch to beat Poland 60-39 on Thursday night.

Xavier Maxwell led the way with 23 points. As a team, the Indians had 10 two pointers, 10 three pointers and 10 free throws. Kyle Humphrey added 12 points to help the Indains improve to 13-4 overall. West Canada will host Dolgeville on Saturday. A win for the Indians would clinch a tie with Adirondack for the CSC Division I regular season title.

Poland was led by Tate Coe's 16 points.
