Spartans Down Westmoreland 13-2

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The New Hartford Spartans continued their dominance in Division II East after beating Westmoreland 13-2 on Wednesday night.

New Hartford got off to a 4-1 first period lead and never looked back. Mike Zalewski had a six point night tallying three goals and notching three assists. Clayton Whittemore also had a hat trick and two assists.  Tim Knaul chipped in two goals and Andrew Kelleher had three assists for the Spartans, who improved to 14-2 overall, 7-0 in the league.

Tyler Mallinder ended up with 62 saves for Westmoreland, who dropped to 4-11-2 overall. Chet Galinski scored a goal and an assist.
