Westmoreland uses a big second half to beat Sauquoit


SAUQUOIT VALLEY, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Westmoreland Bulldogs topped Sauquoit 64-50 on Friday night to improve to 7-1 on the season.

Westmoreland jumped out to 21-9 lead after the first quarter only to see the Indians battle back to tie the game at 27 at the half. Third quarter, the Bulldogs turned things up a notch outscoring Sauquoit 18-8.  Jason Colburn led the way with 15 points including a one handed dunk in the third. Dan Decarlo chipped in 12.

Sauquoit was led by Mason Olmsted and Steve Szatko who had 16 apiece. With the loss, the Indians drop to 4-6 overall.
