Westmoreland Bulldogs Marching Band celebrates championship

WESTMORELAND, N.Y. (WKTV) - It is a special evening for many students, teachers and parents in Westmoreland, not only did the football team win Friday at the Carrier Dome, but the school's marching band is taking a victory lap of sorts as well.

The "Pride" are fresh off a State Championship win! The team took first place in the State Field Band Competition and is performing right now for the first time since the win

The team did not head to the dome without their coveted Governor's Trophy.

Director of the band, Kristyn Morgan, said, "It says a lot of the hard work and the dedication for this school and this program. They are the most hardworking, phenomenol kids I know they just put everything into, went out and did their best and made it happen."

The Pride of Westmoreland also performed in the stands during the football game and took to the field at half-time to perform the same routine that won them the State Championship.
