Westmoreland holds off Oriskany


ORISKANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Jason Colburn netted 30 points as Westmoreland held off Oriskany to win 53-46 on Monday night. As a result, the Bulldogs take over first place in CSC Division III.

What was a close game early on quickly turned into a 13 point lead at the half for Westmoreland. They outscored Oriskany 13-4 in the quarter. Oriskany battled back late in the game and got within three with under a minute to go but the Redskins turned the ball over twice.

Ted Flint added 12 points for the Bulldogs, who improve to 5-4 overall, 4-1 in the league.

Oriskany was led by Steve Rossi's 19 points. Oriskany is now 6-2 overall, 3-1 in the league.
