BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. (WTKV) - After placing third in last year's state girls golf tournament, Whitesboro senior Ariana Gaeta finished fifth in this year's event with a 12-over par 156 at Foxfire Golf Club in Baldwinsville.

Gaeta, who tied the course record with a one-under par 71 in the second round of last year's tournament, shot an 80 in Saturday's first round and a 76 in Sunday's second and final round to finish eight strokes behind winner Suzie Lee from Section XI's Commack.  Lee shot 75-73 for a one-stroke win.

Rome Free Academy seventh-grader Maryann Bulawa shot 92-105 to finish 53-over par, placing 56th out of 73 players.
