Whitesboro holds off Clinton

CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - Mike Ryan earned his first victory of the season in relief as Whitesboro overcame a comeback by Clinton to down the Warriors  8-7 in 8 innings.  Dylan Gorski's base hit in the eighth knocked in Brendan Heitz for the game winner. 

Dave Abdou was 3 for 4 with three singles, Dan Russo and Heitz had two hits and an RBI each while Matt Engler and Ryan Watson each homered to cap a seven-run third inning by the visiting Warriors who improve to 7-4 in the TVL and 12-5 overall.  Whitesboro also had ten stolen bases in the game. 

Ben Hobaica had three hits while Zach Lehman went 2 for 3 for Clinton who drops to 4-7 in the league, 6-9 overall.
