Eberley, Almond, Felitto all lead Whitesboro charge


WHITESBORO, N.Y. (WKTV) - In a matchup of Section III Class A interleague undefeateds, Whitesboro outdueled Jamesville-Dewitt 48-34.  Adam Eberley, Steve Almond and Matt Felitto all scored two touchdowns for the Warriors, who improved to 4-0.

Almond got Whitesboro off to a great start, rushing for a 60 yard touchdown, but J-D answered with a score of their own.

Eberley, the Warriors QB, then called his own number and ran a 56 yarder in for another Whitesboro touchdown.

But J-D came back again, as Eric Thompson scored on a long run.  Another J-D touchdown made it 21-14, but Almond scored again before the end of the first quarter.

Mike Bunal also returned a kickoff 75 yards for another TD later in the game.

There was over 900 yards of total offense in the game, with the Warriors gaining 473.

Whitesboro's next opponent is Fulton, next Friday night.
