H.S. Hockey:Welch's goal lifts Whitesboro over Clinton

CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Whitesboro hockey team beat rival Clinton 2-1 at Clinton Arena Friday night.  Mike Welch scored the game winner for the visiting Warriors, who improved to 5-11-2 on the season.

The home Warriors fell to 1-13-1 and have yet to win a league game.  Mike Martini had the lone goal for Clinton.

Rocco DeRollo scored the tying goal in the second period for Whitesboro. 

Joe Tartaglia had 20 saves in net for Whitesboro, while Joe Bonanza had 19 for Clinton.
