Warriors crush Watertown to advance to section finals

CHITTENANGO, N.Y. (WKTV) - Making the Section III Class A final at the Carrier Dome is now an annual tradition for the Whitesboro Warriors, who made it back for the third straight year after a 49-22 semifinal win over Watertown.  The Warriors beat the Cyclones in the final last year and New Hartford in 2009.

Mike Bunal was the guy who paced Whitesboro as he caught three touchdown passes, ran for another, intercepted a few passes on defense and kicked five extra points as well.

The Warriors had both QB Adam Eberley, who was injured in the Week 6 win over Watertown, as well as RB Steve Almond back.  Eberley completed four of seven passes for 147 yards and the three scores to Bunal.  Almond rushed just four times for 41 yards.

Matt Felitto also added 64 yards on 13 carries, as well as a 19 yard touchdown run.

Whitesboro (9-0), the top seed in Class A, will face ES-M in the section final next Friday night at 8.
