H.S. Hockey:Whitesboro and New Hartford skate to 4-4 tie

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - After leading 2-0, the New Hartford Spartans had to come back to tie Whitesboro 4-4 on Wednesday night at the Rec Center in New Hartford.
Joe Holmes scored two first period goals to spot the Spartans a 2-0 lead over the Warriors. Whitesboro would score three straight in the period including a goal by Zack Gnatek to take the lead 3-2.
Whitesboro made it 4-2 before the Spartans scored two third period goals. Mike Rich tied the game with just over three minutes left in regulation. Tyler Hansen had 24 saves to the Spartans (0-1-1) while Joe Tartaglia stopped 24 shots for the Warriors (0-2-1).
