NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Whitesboro Warriors continued their dominating season beating rival New Hartford 48-14 on a special Thursday night game.
The contest was moveds so Whitesboro coach Tom Schoen could be inducted into the Ithaca sports hall of fame on Friday.
Even without stars Steve Almond, Adam Eberley and Connor Passalacqua, the Warriors once again did not miss a beat. Mike Bunal, subbing for Eberley at quarterack, scored two touchdowns on 111 yards rushing and he took an interception 59 yards back for a touchdown.
The big ground gainer was junior Matt Felitto. He rushed for 234 yards and two touchdowns. Whitesboro jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead.
The Spartans did get on the board in the second half on two touchdowns by Derek German, who was back in the lineup after missing a couple of games with a shoulder injury. New Hartford ends the regular season 0-7.
Whitesboro, now 7-0 will host a playoff game likely next Friday night.
