NEW BERLIN, N.Y. (WKTV) - Points leaders Chad Reed and Cristophe Pourcel brought their best to Unadilla on Saturday as they marked the 40th anniversary of top-level pro racing at the famed track with respective sweeps of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship 450cc and 250cc races.

With each class running two motos, or heats, and the two finishes being combined to declare a winner, Reed and Pourcel made the math easy.  Reed, who is from Australia, won for the fourth time this season and increased his points lead to a massive 82 with three races left.  Pourcel, a native of France, won the 250 motos by 10 and 17 seconds to claim his third victory of the year and break a first-place standings tie with Ryan Dungey, who finished second in both motos to fall six points behind.

On the local side, Whitesboro native Mitchell Dougherty finished 28th out of 40 overall in the 450 Class (31st in the first moto and 21st in the second) while fellow Whitesboro native Bryan Ricci, Jr. failed to qualify in the 250 Class.

Three-time Unadilla champion Kevin Windham, who took a break from his motocross hiatus this year to take another shot at the track, finished 20th overall in the 250 Class.
