Hamill set for next fight

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) -  At least two MMA websites are reporting that Matt Hamill will fight Jon Jones this December, in what will be a battle of the two best, New York based light heavyweights in the UFC.

"The Hammer", who is based out of Utica, is coming off his second knee operation. This would be his first fight since his big March win over Mark Munoz in what was rated by the UFC as one of the top five knockouts of the year. Jones, who fights out of Endicott, is unbeaten in his MMA career including three wins in the UFC.

If it happens as advertised, the fight would headline the Ultimate Fighter 10 finale on December 5th in Las Vegas. It could be one of the most watched UFC finales since it could feature Kimbo Slice. The match is not a pay per view and it would be available on cable.
