Sauquoit girls, Poland & Proctor boys lose in state semis
WKTV - The Sauquoit Valley Lady Indians' season has come to an end with a 3-1 loss in overtime in the girls soccer Class C semifinal against Keshequa. The two teams were tied 1-1 after regulation, then had to play two ten minute mandatory overtime sessions. Keshequa scored twice in the first ten minutes and that score held up.
The Poland boys soccer team fell 1-0, in the Class D state semifinal against Chazy in Middletown. It was the first time the Tornadoes lost this season.
Also falling in the semis was the Proctor boys, 2-0 to Arlington in the Class AA semis in Middletown. The Raiders had never been to states before, nor had they ever won in the regionals or section final.
