Girls Basketball: Whitesboro tops RFA in TVL action

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Whitesboro girls basketball team picked up another big win in the Tri-Valley League Friday night, 64-52 at RFA.

Maria Lapertosa led all scores with 18 points, while former NEWSChannel 2 Athlete of the Week Jen Deuel added 17.

After holding a slim 15-14 lead after the first quarter, the Lady Warriors extended their lead thanks to a 26-8 second quarter.

Kayli Smith led RFA (5-3) with 11 points, 5 assists and 23 steals.

Whitesboro (6-2) is off until Wednesday, when they go to Camden.
