CANASTOTA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota is out with its 2013 inductees.

The late Arturo Gatti and five-time world champ Virgil Hill are elected in their first year of eligibility.

Gatti won titles in two weight divisions, while Hill won a silver at the 1984 Olympics.

The announcement was made Monday afternoon at the hall, with pictures and memorabilia already in place.

This will be the 24th annual induction ceremony and several boxing greats are expected the weekend of June 6.

"We're just so happy today's announcement is of a class that really is well deserving," said Ed Brophy, Executive Director of the Hall. "And already fans from 25 states, representing 25 states, have registered for tickets and hotel accommodations. We're looking for a big turn out to have every state represented during hall of fame weekend with boxing fans."

In addition to Gatti and Hill, nine other men will be inducted in three different categories, most notably, referee Mills Lane, who officiated several major heavyweight championships in the 70's, 80's and 90's.
