Pats QB Brady injured in morning crash

BOSTON (WKTV) – MSNBC and ESPN are citing Boston various media outlets reports that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was injured in an early morning auto accident. The extent of Brady’s injuries do not seem to be serious.

MSNBC reported that the jaws of life had to used to extricate Brady from the car he was in. According to the ESPN report, the accident occurred at the intersection of Commonwealth Ave and Gloucester St. in Boston, which is near the Prudential Center in downtown Boston.

Both sources say that, following the accident, Brady was on his way to the Patriots facility in Foxborough to see the team doctor.

Brady has been in talks with the Pats regarding a contract extension and has been reportedly close to an agreement. The Patriots open the NFL regular season this Sunday at home against Cincinnati.
