Orange set to take on UConn on Thursday

By WKTV Sports

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Syracuse Orange will face the UConn Huskies on Thursday at noon in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament at Madison Square Garden.

"Right now we're in great position, we have a double-bye, we had one last year." says Scoop Jardine.  "We just have continue to play.  We know teams won't lay down, we'll get everybody's best shot from here on out.  We got 9 games left and if we play the way we're capable of playing, we can do something special here."

Even if they were to lose against UConn, they are still likely to be one of the four number one seeds in the NCAA tournament.

"Our plan is to win." says sophomore center Fab Melo "We'll go down, we have a double bye, so we have three games, we're focused to win all those games."

MIKE LEVIN WILL HAVE REPORTS FROM MSG ON THURSDAY AT NOON, FIVE AND SIX.
