Orange to get Melo back Saturday

By MIKE LEVIN

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The #2 ranked Syracuse men's basketball team will get their starting center, Fab Melo, back for the Orange's game Saturday at St. John's.

A statement released Thursday by the school said: "Sophomore Fab Melo will return to the Syracuse University men's basketball playing roster beginning this Saturday on the road against St. John's in Madison Square Garden."

The release continued saying: "Given University policy and federal student privacy laws, we are not able to provide any other details about this matter."

There is speculation that Melo's absence was due to an academic issue, but that has never been confirmed by anyone at the school.

The Orange are 2-1 in the three games that Melo was out.  The only loss, the only loss this season by the Orange, was January 21st at Notre Dame.
