SU to meet Kansas State in NCAAs

By MIKE LEVIN

PITTSBURGH (WKTV) - The Syracuse basketball team will meet Kansas State in the third round of the NCAA Tournament Saturday at 12:15 p.m. from Consol Energy Center.  After a close call Thursday against UNC-Asheville, the 16 seed in the East Region, #1 Syracuse will face a Wildcat team that present a big challenge inside for the Cuse, especially with the loss of Fab Melo.

The Orange know how it feels to lose in this round, as they fell to Marquette last year at the same time.

If the Orange survive the K-State challenge, it's off to Boston in the Sweet 16, where SU will meet either Wisconsin or Vanderbilt.
