At the beginning of the second quarter, Ross Krautman's 50-yard field goal attempt fell short but the SU defense was able to prevent the Scarlet Knight offense from getting a first down.

The two teams battled back and forth for the remainder of the quarter until Ameen-Moore scored his second touchdown for the second game in a row to tie the score, 7-7. His three yard touchdown run was the result of a 12 play, 80 yard scoring drive with 1:32 left in the first half.

In the opening of the second half, Krautman's 33-yard field goal kick was blocked by RU's Jamal Merrel and returned for a touchdown by Duron Harmon, putting the Scarlet Knights up 14-7.

Nick Borgese added on a 25-yard field goal for the Scarlet Knights with 3:50 left in the third quarter, extending RU's lead to 17-7.
The Scarlet Knights put six more points on the board a minute into the fourth quarter on a touchdown to put the score at 23-7. The score came off of a 12-yard touchdown pass from Nova to Tyler Kroft.

With 4:19 left in the game, Nassib found Clark for a 40-yard touchdown pass. The Orange went for the two point conversion, and succeeded after Nassib found Marcus Sales in the end zone.
