UTICA, NY (WKTV)-- Chips, dip, chicken wings, pizza... They're all staples for super bowl festivities. There is no doubt, everyone has their own way of celebrating. Super Bowl Sunday. It's one of the biggest "party" days of the year and while it's all about watching the game... Sometimes it's more about how you watch the game.
"Just good, laid back, fun people. That combined with some good food... A nice big TV. That's all you really need." said Giants fan, Allen Stalker, who watched the game with co-workers at a friends house.
And Brian Rabb, also a Giants fan, says he went to the bar to catch the game. "One of the reasons I actually prefer to be here is because you do have opposite opinions. You have your Patriot fan right here. Nothing better than talking trash to the opponent."
Dozens were at The Cage in Utica to watch Super Bowl 46 and to cheer on their respective teams.
"I mean... Just the Giants in general." supported Rabb.
But on the contrary, Jim Caswell said, "I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan... So I'm here rooting against the Giants. I have to. Rooting for the Giants for me is like rooting for Satan."
Like Allen Stalker and his co-workers, some stayed in. " We're at someone's house, we can all kick back and relax. No expectations of when you have to go home."
And apparently the Pats QB, Tom Brady, had a case of the sniffles... so of course we had to ask Super Bowl fans their thoughts.
"Come on, a little sniffles?. I mean if he was from Ohio State or maybe Notre Dame... Maybe. But he's from Michigan. A little sniffles, a little cough cough. He's fine." said Caswell.
But Stalker had a different thought. "Oh the sniffles... I mean, it's Tom Brady. Anything can affect him."
So, whether you were out at the bar scene, or you decided to stay in with some family, friends and some good food, or you celebrated like we did here at WKTV, at work... One thing we all had in common... Watching Super Bowl 46.
