Good turnout for Utica's St. Patrick's Day Parade

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Despite Saturday morning's cool and damp conditions, a large number of Mohawk Valley residents packed each side of Genesee St. in downtown Utica to catch this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade.
We caught up with this year's Grand Marshal, Sister Maureen Denn after she finished the trek down from Oneida Square to Lafayette St, "It was a lot of fun, I certainly appreciate the people coming out on a cold damp morning like this, but this is Irish weather, we're used to damp weather and it was so nice to see the people commenting and waving, it was a grand day."
Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri says this is a great day for the city, "It's a great celebration, it's Utica at its finest, second largest in the state of a St. Patrick's Day Parade."

Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol echoed that, "I can't say it enough, this region is incredible.  Today is a good day, hope everybody behaves, and we have been encouraging that all week and we'll be just fine."
