weather wktv

Lake effect snow battered parts of Oswego and Lewis Counties overnight on December 6th and into the morning of December 7th. The band setup overnight over northern Oneida County and as an Arctic front dropped south, the band moved south through the rest of Central New York bringing with it very heavy snow. Snowfall rates of over 2 to 4” per hour were reported within this band as a meandered about. Some areas in the North Country have now picked up over 60-70” of snow since Thanksgiving. Thanks to all our SkyWatchers for reports!!
