Otsego County to see moderate snowfall, all other areas to see a trace

(WKTV) - Some parts of Central New York will escape unscathed, while some parts, such as Otsego County, can expect moderate snowfall by the end of the weekend.

Light to moderate snow also expected in Fulton and Montgomery Counties, according to StormTracker 2 Weather.

Meteorologist Jill Reale says that 2-6 inches can be expected in those areas from this first Nor'easter of the year.

All other local areas will see just a trace of snow, at best.

Snow will be winding down after midnight but with leaves still on the trees, power outages are possible in Otsego, Fulton and Montgomery Counties.

High pressure builds back in on Sunday with partly sunny skies and highs near 50.

The storm is pounding areas south and east of Central New York. Residents downstate and in Pennsylvania are seeing downed power lines.

Nearly 1.5 million people are without power in those areas.
