Temperature

Our forecast calls for slightly above normal temperatures.  We expect a variety of weather heading through the season, with dramatic warmups and cooldowns.  Brief warmups between cold periods will be more frequent this year than in years past.  Winter will be less harsh this year than in years past.

Snowfall

Our forecast calls for slightly below normal snowfall.  We are going with a total snowfall between 85-105" for Utica, NY.  our seasonal average is 99".  We do expect an active winter season, but our winter weather will come in a variety this year.  With a developing El Nino, we expect many more storms to produce a combination of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain.  Snow events are expected to become less frequent as we head into March.
