Winter Weather Outlook 2010-2011

The StormTracker 2 weather team is predicting one degree above average temperatures and 70”-90” of seasonal snowfall  for the 2010 Winter Weather Season Utica, NY.

Winter is expected to be cold as usual, but with a greater number of warmups and cooldowns compared to other winters.

This year is expected to be an active winter, with more storms than usual.  Winter storms this year will bring a greater variety of precipitation (snow, sleet, freezing rain, rain) compared to years past.

Clouds, Lake Effect
The forecasted general storm track this year is expected to bring a cloudier than normal winter to Central New York.  Lake temperatures are near normal heading into winter, and we expect a typical snowy lake effect season across Central New York.
