An area of showers and thunderstorms will continue to pass through the region over the next hour.  No severe weather is anticipated, but this storm is producing a lot of lightning and rain.

Good evening!  A few showers and storms continue to pass through the region.  Look for thunderstorm activity to diminish especially after sunset.  It will continue to stay very muggy with overnight lows in the 60s and patchy fog.  Increasing clouds tonight with more showers and storms moving in before daybreak.

A weak area of low pressure will pass through Upstate New York tomorrow.  With tropical moisture lifting up the East Coast, the combination of these two may lead to some more widespread thunderstorms and locally heavy rain for Sunday. The threat for severe weather is limited, but still possible.

A disturbance in the upper atmosphere now looks to park itself over us for much of next week, bringing daily chances of showers and isolated thunderstorms Monday through Wednesday...along with seasonable temperatures. We should clear things out for the end of the week.
