2006 will rank as the 5th warmest year on record here in Utica.
2006 will not rank in the top 10 for precipitation. Partially because of the dry winter and spring, we fell about 1.70" short of cracking the top 10 in wettest years.
In terms of monthly all-time records, we cracked a few top 10s.
- January was the 3rd warmest January ever.
- March 14-15th's 13.3" of snow tied for the 7th largest snow event in March history.
- June's 8.66" of rain made it the 4th wettest June ever.
- October's 6.68" of rain made it the 9th wettest October ever.
- December was the 2nd warmest December on record.
