STITTVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - One local teen is doing his part to help flood victims clean up their homes - and be a part of an elite group of scouts.
Lonnie Harris, 17, of Trenton, is putting together care packages full of cleaning supplies for flood victims as part of his Eagle Scout project.
The goal is to make water-damaged homes safe and livable again.
"It's a symbol of hope," says Harris. "Hope for the future that they can continue to rebuild their lives as they once were."
The supplies in each bucket costs $55 a piece and Lonnie's goal is to pack 100 buckets.
