Mayor issues snow emergency for Utica

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - A snow emergency has been issued by the City of Utica, Mayor Robert Palmieri announced Thursday.

The emergency goes into effect at 11 p.m. Thursday and remains in effect until further notice. All vehicles parked on city roads must be removed to facilitate safe passage for snow removal and emergency services.

The Department of Public Works advises the snowfall is expected to be wet and heavy, which makes driving and snow plowing more difficult.
