HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - The nor'easter is adding to the New York City region's weather woes, dumping more than half a foot of snow in some areas and causing another round of power outage. While those areas were already devastated by Hurricane Sandy, local efforts to help victims continued.

Several schools let out early on Monday as well as canceled after school activities in preparation for Hurricane Sandy. While they are planning on hunkering down, National Grid crews are ready to be out in full force.
UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Some area residents were at Price Chopper in north Utica on Monday stocking up on last minute supplies in anticipation for Hurricane Sandy.
