3rd annual Adirondack Ice Bowl underway in Inlet

INLET, N.Y. (WKTV) - The competitive spirit is in the air this weekend in Inlet as 150 hockey players from around the country compete in the 3rd annual Adirondack Ice Bowl.

It is a four-on-four round robin pond hockey tournament, being held on Fourth Lake in front of The Woods Inn.

The Ice Bowl started small with just a few guys playing pick-up hockey in front of Jim O'Brien's house on First Lake.

"It has double, maybe tripled in size since then," O'Brien said. "It's a mix of professionals...experienced players...there are some guys who have never really played before."

If you want to check out the action, Ice Bowl games will be played on Saturday and the championship game will be played under the lights at 7 pm.

"It is just about having a good time," said player Robert Hamlin.
