Hot weather breaks temperature records for April 3

(WKTV) - The hot weather this weekend has broken records for both Friday and Saturday.

According to NEWSChannel 2 and StormTracker 2 archives, the high temperature for April 3 was broken on Saturday with a high of 84°. That broke the record set back in 1981 of 79°.

Early-morning Saturday also broke the record for the highest low with 51° as the overnight low temperature. The previous record was from 1999 with 49°.

Friday also saw record-breaking temperatures. The 85° day broke the record set back in 1967 of 79°.

The average high temperature for early April in Central New York is 48°
