Correct he should have checked the rig and paid attention to the warning system showing the open door. BUT it was an accident and I am sure the college understands that accidents do happen. I bet that they have even had accidents with there vehicles

Oh I'm sure because it was only $250,000 that that makes the people at Hamilton College fell much better about the situation. Facts are the driver was very careless in his actions. Rule # 1 is before you get in your rig, walk around & inspect it.
