My wife and I took a car ride up into the Adirondacks this past weekend to view what was left of the fall foliage. To our surprise, it was a great day for photos and you could still find some nice colors.
Our trip through the Adirondacks started as we entered from Stratford on NY Route 29A. We then proceeded North along Piseco Road for a nice scenic back-country ride. After exiting onto NY Route 10, we proceeded North to NY Route 8 and then East towards Speculator. The lake was glistening with the sun and the hillsides had yellows and oranges in color. After our quick stop we proceeded North along NY Route 30 towards Indian Lake, then East on NY Route 28 to North Creek, NY from which you follow along side of the Hudson River. From North Creek we proceeded North-West on Route 28N towards Newcomb, NY. After Newcomb, we followed NY Route 28N to Blue Mountain Lake, NY and then NY Route 28 south until we exited the Adirondack Park.
Overall it was a very scenic drive, one that I recommend in the fall if you have any free time.
