Local Author, Dorothy Stacy, signed copies of her newest book in the Erie Canal Cousins Series, Saturday, at Barnes and Noble in New Hartford.
Canal Town Christmas relates the Stewart family's celebration of Thanksgiving and Christmas in 1840 in Albany, New York. It also includes Martha Washington's pumpkin pie recipe and an explanation of how these days became holidays in the United States. All the books in the series so far take place either in Utica or Albany.
Kim Docktor of Minnesota, a reader of the series, said "It's a "little house" type book but on the Erie Canal.
