Ilion native Rachel Mary Trevor is running the NYC Marathon in memory of a fallen NYC Firefighter Nicholas Rossomondo. Rachel is running on "Team Nick's" 9/11 Memorial Scholarship Fund Charity team and raised over $2,500 in Nick's memory. This is a cause very close to Rachel's heart because she is an educator, and the daughter of a firefighter. She is running this race to show her gratitude to the men and women of the FDNY who made the ultimate sacrifice on that fateful day.
