The Arc Names Employee of Year
Utica - Alicia Albright was recently named 2010 Employee of the Year by The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, NYSARC. The Board of Directors selects the Employee of the Year from among eight Employee of the Quarter recipients. Albright was Employee of the Fourth Quarter for the agency’s south region. Employees are nominated by supervisors or co-workers for their unique contributions in support of the individuals served and the agency’s mission.
Albright, of New York Mills, is a Program Manager in Residential Services.
She specializes in issues related to the aging population and oversees a home for individuals with both aging and medical needs. She co-chairs the Aging Committee and arranges trainings related to the aging population. She has developed valuable resources, including a Medical Appointment Communication Guideline to facilitate communication between direct care staff and medical personnel, and an End of Life packet to insure that an elderly individual’s needs and desires are met. The agency and many Arc chapters throughout the state utilize the packet. Albright has been employed at The Arc for nearly 15 years.
