In 1945, the Town of Frankfort used a Linn snowplow to clear the snow on Higby Rd. at the Herkimer-Oneida county line. These photo show John Leitz Sr. and son John Jr. ("Laddie") with the plow. The banks had become so high that it was necessary to plow them back into the road and push the snow away, as otherwise the plow couldn't pile the snow any higher. Photos are from collection of James Christensen.
