The Salisbury Fire Dept., New York State Police, S&S Ambulance and Rural Metro responded to a building collapse in the afternoon of Saturday 03/05/11.
It was initially reported, as a person possibly trapped in the building.
The heavy snow load on the roof, coupled with a light rain during the day, was the possible cause of this collapse.
Salisbury Fire Department performed a search of the destroyed building, after heavy equipment was brought in, to check for potential voids, where a victim could have survived.
After a thorough search of the structure, it was determined that no one was in the building.
