Heavy Rains and water spilling over the dam at Hinckley Reservoir forced the West Canada Creek out of its banks. The pictures and video were shot at the Bridge on Bridge Street in Newport, NY. Moderate to MAJOR flooding was occuring along the entire length of the West Canada Creek from Hickley Reservoir to Herkimer.

I came down rt 29 into Middleville then continued on to Newport on rt 28. This was between 2-4pm Thursday. They closed rt 28 JUST after I got these images. The water was just starting to flow onto the road when I went through.
