Well folks not very often do we see so much water coming over Hinkley Dam. The spillway over the dam is 400 feet long.Today april 29 2011 the water was spilling over the crest of the dam at 1230.74 ft which is 5.75ft of water flowing over the dam for 400feet the length of the spillway. very serious business for anything down stream from this point.the first photo is of Hinkley dam it self. AS of 7:30 PM tonight the water has reached its height for now and was starting to go down. the second photo is at Prospect falls in Prospect. Long time not this much water has been coming over. I will post pictures later of massive rocks coming down the river bed and crashing over the falls. the third photo is at Trenton falls spillway where water is diverted to the Barge canal if needed in the summer.I will post more pictures soon folks but please be very careful around these high waters and please respect it. thanks for letting me share with you.
