salisbury fire depaartment

the salisbury fire department has been assisting middleville with there flooding problem. salisbury has been there since wednesday. they have been filling sand bags and helping pump out cellars. salisbury was also asked to evacuate the middleville rest home on thursday. salisbury fire chief richard nichols cooridinated this with the help of the dolgeville school bus garage. dolgeville brought over a bus in which salisbury provided 5 EMT's to help evacuating the residents. the residents where then transported to the salisbury fire department in which they have been there since. the salisbury fire department is an emergency shelter and they are always willing to help anyone in need. salisbury fireman has been at the rest home every day trying to keep the water out. as of today they have left a generator there to run their sump pumps because the power had to be shut off due to the flood.
