This is video and photos taken one day after Tropical Storm Irene came through our area here in central NY. This is the Sauquoit Creek bridge located on Oriskany Blvd. in the village of Whitesboro. The storm left trees, limbs, and debris lodged up against the bridge that were carried from somewhere upstream. Also, as most people are already aware, there were several water rescues further upstream on this same creek in Utica and New Hartford yesterday during the storm as people became stranded in the fast rising floodwaters.
