Just after 1:30pm on Wednesday at Frankfort-Schuyler Middle/High School, a student's backpack caught on fire from a light in the Middle School Lobby, causing the building to be evacuated after the alarm sounded. The Frankfort and Ilion Fire and Police Departments responded quickly and had everything under control in just a matter of minutes. The school day resumed after the officials determined it was safe to enter the building.
